Darwin LNG Pty Ltd

The Bayu-Undan field, in the Timor Sea, was developed in two phases. Phase 1 consisted of a gas recycle facility and reached full gross design rates in 2004. Phase 2 was commissioned in early 2006 and included piping gas through a 500km subsea pipeline to the Darwin LNG plant. The Darwin LNG plant converts gas from the Bayu-Undan field into LNG for sale to Tokyo Electric  and Tokyo Gas in Japan. The first shipment of LNG was loaded in early 2006 and the plant was officially commissioned in June 2006.

Our exploration  and development interests include the Caldita and Barossa discoveries located offshore Northern Territory, acreage offshore Western Australia and the Greater Sunrise field in the Timor Sea.
